Bladder Stone Removal

Bladder stones are a common problem in dogs. If the stones are large enough to obstruct the urethra, then they must be removed surgically (cystotomy). Samples of bladder stones are always sent to a urolithiasis laboratory for analysis. Depending on the type of stone, our doctors will likely recommend a specific prescription food to prevent further stone formation.
